leylange With most music, it’s easy to forget that sound is vibration. But with this album, it’s like your hammer, anvil and stirrup (as I’ve just discovered the ear-bones are named) are actually picking up textures. The exact textures are difficult to describe. Sometimes the smoothness and coldness of glass or metal. Sometimes the scratchiness of exposed wires.

about

R. DENHAM ASKS "WHAT DO WE OWE TO THE THINGS WE CREATE" IN HUGE FIERY LETTERS IN THE SKY

A RESULT OF METROPOLITAN CITY TRANSIENCE WHERE THE OLD THE NEW AND THE MISTAKES MEET IN BRICK COLLAGE. THE ROAD IS RIPPED UP DAILY.

"Orphaned Machines is an uncanny concoction of Godspeed-like voiceovers, chilled tech-house, and ear-splitting sub-bass. What Denham creates here is a soundtrack for wandering around graveyards during the winter months." - Simon Kirk, Sun13.com
